The Directorate General of Foreign Trade vide its notification dated 23rd September 2021 has notified the list of eligible services and rates under service exports from India scheme (SEIS) for the services rendered in the FY 2019-2020 and the facility to claim the benefits under SEIS on payments in indian rupees shall not be available for services rendered in the FY 2019-20.
The Notified services and rate are as follows:
Under five per cent rate, the sectors include professional services like legal, taxation, engineering,medical, veterinary and urban planning and under research and development services (radio and television, sound recording)are included and construction, educational, environmental, and health.
Further under the 3 per cent rate, the services includes advertising, investigation and security, packaging and printing, photography etc.
The deadline for submission of SEIS application for FY 2019-20 shall be 31st December, 2021, and SEIS applications for 2019-20 will become time-barred after December 31 this year.
