The Director-General of Foreign Trade on 28th January 2021 has notified that the coal import monitoring system shall be effective from 1st April 2021 and the facility of online registration would be available from 15th February 2021.
Under the coal import monitoring system, the trader will have to provide advance information about the imports and obtain a registration number and in this system importers of different kinds of coal including anthracite, bituminous, coking, and steam will have to register by providing necessary information.
