The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in its trade notice dated 5th November 2019, has extended the deadlines for import of Toor only till 15th November 2019.
DGFT in its earlier notice dated 30th September, 2019 has requested the importers to complete their import by 31st October 2019, and since there where several representation for the extension of due Date of import of pulses, DGFT examined the representations for extension of the date of import of Pulses beyond October 31, 2019 and decided to extend the deadline for import of Toor only till November 15, 2019, which means imports shall arrive on Indian Ports latest by November 15, 2019. Further, DGFT clarified that there is no extension of deadline beyond October 31, 2019 for import of Urad and Moong.
Importers who have got the quota but do not import the same by the same deadline, proceedings will be initiated against them under Foreign Trade (Development and regulation) Act, 1992.
