Directorate General of Foreign Trade in its notification dated 4th April 2020 has restricted the export of diagnostic kits falling under any ITCHS (Indian Trade Clarification based on Harmonized System of Coding) code with immediate effect.
Earlier, the export of this equipment was allowed. Since the corona virus cases are rising at a tremendous rate, and as it is imperative that the testing kits and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be available to the health care providers in the state, the restriction has been imposed.
