Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Business Plan) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021

The Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission on 13th April, 2021 has issued the the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Business Plan) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021. The target Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) shall be met by entities through purchase of power from various Renewable Energy Sources or purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates („REC‟) or purchase of Hydro Energy Certificates or combination. Non-compliance of the RPO targets, other than HPO Target, by an Obligated Entity shall attract penalty at the rate of 10% of the weighted average Floor Price of Solar and Non- Solar Renewable Energy Certificate, as specified by Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for the relevant year, for quantum of shortfall in RPO.
