General Administration Department (Coordination Branch) of the Government of NCT of Delhi on February 3rd 2025 has announced that Wednesday, 5th February 2025 will be a Public Holiday on account of the General Election to the Legislative Assembly of Delhi.
The announcement comes under the powers granted by Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, in conjunction with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Notification dated 28th June 1973. This holiday will allow citizens to participate in the elections and fulfill their democratic duties by casting their votes.
As a result, all public offices, government establishments, and many other workplaces will remain closed to ensure that eligible voters can take part in the election process without any hindrances.
