DCI requires Dental Colleges to furnish the complete details of students admitted during Special Stray Vacancy Round for MDS Seats-2022

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a Circular requiring all Dental Colleges to furnish the complete details of students admitted during Special Stray Vacancy Round for MDS Seats-2022 for the academic session 2022-2023. This Circular was issued on 11th January, 2023.

It may be recalled that the Directorate General of Health Services by a notice dated 3rd January, 2023 had published the Schedule & guidelines for “online counselling for Special Stray Vacancy Round for MDS Seats-2022 of All India Quota/ Central University/ Central Institute/ Deemed University only for vacant 62 MDS seats”. The last date of joining the colleges based on this round was fixed as 14th January, 2023.

The present Circular emphasises that the complete details of every student admitted in MDS Courses of all the dental colleges during the Special Stray Vacancy Round must be furnished to the DCI in the prescribed format. This information shall be accompanied by allotment letter issued by the MCC, for the academic session 2022-2023.

This information must be forwarded to the DCI on or before 14th January, 2023 (12:00 midnight). Failure to do so may lead to the presumption that the college authorities have not admitted such student(s) in MDS Course(s) at their dental college for the academic session 2022-23.

The said information of the admitted students may be furnished to the DCI by email/ post / any other mode, such that it reaches the DCI office on or before 14th January,2023. In case of any technical difficulties, the DCI office can be contacted by email at secy-dci@nic.in or on 011-23238542.
