DCI Announces NEET-MDS Counseling Schedule- 2024

The Dental Commission of India (DCI) has published the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) counselling schedule. The schedule outlines the key dates for admissions to MDS programs through All India Quota (AIQ), deemed and central universities, and state counselling.

Key Dates in the Schedule:

Round 1: AIQ, deemed and central universities counselling for this round opens from July 1 to July 10, 2024. Seat allotment results will be declared on July 19, 2024. State counselling for this round is between July 10 and 20. The last date to join for this round is July 17, 2024 for AIQ/Deemed universities and July 25, 2024 for State colleges.

Round 2: AIQ, deemed and central universities counselling for this round opens from July 22 to July 31, 2024. Seat allotment results will be declared on August 8, 2024. State counselling for this round is between July 31 and August 7, 2024. The last date to join for this round is August 7, 2024 for AIQ/Deemed universities and August 12, 2024 for State colleges.

Round 3: AIQ, deemed and central universities counselling for this round opens from August 12 to August 21, 2024. Seat allotment results will be declared on August 29, 2024. State counselling for this round is between August 21, 2024 and August 26, 2024. The last date to join for this round is August 28, 2024 for AIQ/Deemed universities and August 30, 2024 for State colleges.

Stray Vacancy Round: A stray vacancy round will be conducted in September to fill any remaining seats.

NEET-MDS Schedule- 2024

The detailed schedule includes specific dates for registration and payment, choice filling or locking, processing of seat allotment and sharing data on joined candidates between the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state authorities. The academic session for PG dental courses is set to begin on August 1, 2024.

Additionally, all participating institutes/ colleges are directed to treat all Saturdays or Sundays and Gazetted Holidays as working days. This is direction is intended to facilitate obedience of time schedule and also keeping in view the limited time available for conducting counselling.
