Government of Tamil Nadu Extends the time for electricity consumers to pay electricity bill without penalty for the consumers of Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Tenkasi Districts in Tamil Nadu. Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various rescue and relief works on a war footing following the damage caused due to heavy rains in Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Tenkasi Districts of Tamil Nadu. This Notification was published on the date of 18-12-2023.
In this case, considering the problems in paying the electricity bill to the electricity consumers of the above districts, Government of Tamil Nadu relaxes consumers to pay electricity bills till 02.01.2024 without penalty. While the last date of payment of electricity bill was from 18.12.2023 to 30.12.2023, but due to the above circumstances, extension of time for payment of bill is granted to the users till 02.01.2024 without penalty. This extension is applicable to all households, commercial use, industrial roads, small micro and medium enterprises and other power consumers.
