Part I: Official Government Holidays
This section outlines the holidays applicable to all government offices, semi-government offices, local bodies, and commercial banks operating in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu throughout 2025. Employees working in these establishments will observe these designated holidays as per the notification.
Part II: Restricted Holidays
Part II provides a list of restricted holidays, allowing employees the flexibility to choose any two holidays from this list, based on their preference. This gives workers more control over their holiday schedule.
Part III: Holidays for Industrial Establishments
In Part III, the government has listed holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881. These holidays are specifically applicable to industrial establishments, public sector undertakings, and commercial banks operating in the region. Notably, while commercial banks are expected to observe holidays declared by their respective regional offices, State Bank of India (SBI) and the Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu branches involved in government transactions will follow the holidays specified in Part I. These branches will remain open on other working days to handle government transactions and facilitate RBI chest operations.
Paid Holidays for All Workers
One of the key aspects of the notification is that all holidays, including those under Part III, will be considered paid holidays for various categories of workers, including:

- Daily Wage Workers: Those employed in government departments, including the UT Government Industrial Department.
- Commercial Bank Employees: Workers employed at commercial banks, as well as industrial workers in private establishments in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
