The Chhattisgarh government issued a notification amending Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Department Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Service Recruitment Rules, 2022.

These details are substituted for the recruitment of District AYUSH Officers with a pay scale of 67300 213100 (Level-13) i.e. Out of the total sanctioned posts, 80% will be filled from the Ayurveda Medical Officer cadre, 15% from the Homoeopathy Medical Officer cadre, and 5% from the Unani Medical Officer cadre.
It outlines the educational qualifications and experience required for candidates from Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, and Unani backgrounds. The qualifications include a graduate degree in the respective fields with internship from a recognized institution and permanent registration in the relevant Chhattisgarh board. Additionally, a minimum of five years of working experience in a government institution as a Medical Officer or Assistant Director in the respective fields is required.
For recruitment of District AYUSH Officer by promotion, A candidate must have five years of experience as Deputy Director (Ayurveda) / Deputy Director (Pharmacy).
For recruitment of Ayurveda Medical Officer /Homoeopathy Medical Officer/Unani Medical Officer/ Assistant Director (Ayurved/ Homoeopathy/Unani/ Pharmacy) by promotion, a candidate must have five years of experience as District AYUSH Officer.
