The Ministry of Labour and Employment vide notification dated 24 March, 2023, has made certain provisions of Employees State Insurance Act, 1948 applicable to following areas:
- All the areas of Kanchipuram, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai and Viluppuram districts in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The following provisions are made applicable:
- Sections 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43 and sections 45A to 45H Chapter IV : The chapter deals with the contribution made to the employee.
- Sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V: The chapter deals with Benefits provides to the employees covered under the Act.
- Chapter VI which deals with Adjudication of Dispute and Claims.
The provisions shall commence w.e.f 1st April, 2023.
