The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has issued a notice streamlining the procedure of evaluation of applications by Subject Expert Committees (SEC). This notice was issued on December 19, 2023 and shall come into immediate effect.
In the past, the applicants would make a presentation before the SEC. For this purpose, the applicants would submit a copy of their presentations through different means including emails. However, these copies were being submitted on the day of the meeting.
Hence, the CDSCO has decided to streamline the procedure of submission of presentation copies for the SEC meeting. Now, all such copies must be submitted through the e-vartalap (Sugam Portal). This submission must be made well in advance, upon receipt of the invitation letter from CDSCO. The submission must be made only to the concerned division.
