The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (“CDSCO”) in its notification dated 3rd October 2019 has released the list of medical devices testing laboratories who shall carry out test or evaluation of medical device on behalf of manufacturer registered under CDSCO.
CDCSO in its earlier notification dated 31st January 2017, has published The Medical Device Rules 2017, to regulate the manufacture, import, sale and distribution of medical devices and enlisted the laboratories that must conduct the test or evaluation. Now four more laboratories has been added to the existing list. The details of those laboratories and their scope of testing are provided in the notification.
