The Central Board of Indirect Taxes(CBIT) vide notification dated 24th March, 2020 has extended the exemption from Integrated Goods and Service Tax (IGST) and compensation cess given to EOUs on imports for another year.
The notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 52/2003-Customs, dated the 31st March, 2003 has been amended again to extend the exemption till 1st day of April, 2021. The 2019 amendment previously extended the same till 31st March 2020.
