CBIC extends the deadline for furnishing of annual return for the FY 2018-2019 till 31st October 2020

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has extended the time limit for furnishing annual returns in Form GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C. This extension applies to the annual returns for the financial year 2018-2019. This extension was published vide notification dated 30^th September 2020.

Therefore, the last date for furnishing of Form GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C for the financial year of 2018-2019 stands fixed on 31^st October 2020.

Pertinently, the CBIC had earlier fixed the last date for this purpose as 30^th September 2020. This was fixed by virtue of its Principal Notification dated 5^th May 2020. Now, therefore, the deadline stands extended to 31^st October 2020.
