The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs vide circular dated 27 November, 2020 has issued clarification on export of Gems and jewelry through Courier mode. It is clarified that Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998 and Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010 do not restrict export of gems and jewelry through courier mode.
