This initiative will enable the startups to establish a product market fit, identify customer segments, grow hacking strategies, business compliance, leadership recruitment and fundraising. With a strong focus on nurturing startups and fostering entrepreneurial brilliance, this event represented the first step in an exciting journey that will extend the LEAP AHEAD Accelerator Program to cities like Vijayawada, Chandigarh, and Bhubaneswar.

No petroleum shall be imported by air or unloaded except at the airports authorized for this purpose by the Central Government in consultation with Chief Controller.

GENCOs encouraged to Participate in CIRP of Stressed Power Assets

The Ministry of Power (MoP) has issued an advisory encouraging all States/ Generation Companies (GENCOs) to participate in the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) for taking over stressed thermal power assets. State-owned GENCOs are advised to acquire stressed power assets through IBC under the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) route and contribute to the overall generation capacity of the nation.

MNRE further updates List of Approved Solar Photovoltaic Module Manufacturers and Models

Under the updated Approved List of Models and Manufactures for Solar Photovoltaic Modules, the enlistment of models of Solar PV Module Manufacturers in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) will be subject to stringent criteria. Only models that comply with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and meet the minimum module efficiency requirements will be eligible for enlistment under ALMM.

Draft Methodology for Water Harvesting based Green Credit

The proposed methodology addresses water harvesting projects and outlines various parameters for their eligibility and verification under the Green Credit Programme. The methodology also clarifies that any water harvesting project covered under existing or new laws, will also be registered under the Green Credit Rules, 2023, and may trade or generate Green Credits as mandated under those laws or regulations.

Ministries of Coal and New & Renewable Energy Join Forces to Boost Green Energy Initiatives

Under this cooperative framework, the MNRE will extend its support by providing technical expertise, policy guidance, and capacity-building assistance. Simultaneously, the Ministry of Coal will facilitate the availability of land and capital while actively participating in the implementation of solar energy, green hydrogen, and various other renewable energy projects.

MoP directs all GENCOs on Timely Import of Coal

To ensure a consistent and uninterrupted power supply across the country, the Ministry of Power, in consultation with the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) and Grid India, has made the decision to increase the blending of imported coal to a minimum of 6% by weight. Power generation companies (Gencos) are encouraged to continuously monitor their coal stock positions.
