Ministry of Home Affairs bars travel by overseas citizens of India

The Ministry of Home Affairs in its press release dated 5th May 2020 has issued an order specifying that all existing visas granted to foreigners including multiple entry-life long visas given to overseas citizens of India cardholders shall be suspended until the ban on international air travel to and from India is lifted.

DGFT bans export of alcohol-based hand sanitizers

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade vide its notification dated 6th May 2020 has banned export of alcohol-based hand sanitizers to boost its availability in the domestic market amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

DGFT issues clarification on submission of pre-shipment inspection certificate

DGFT has decided that a scanned copy of the PSIC document may be accepted in place of a physical copy for the purpose of Customs clearance. However, the importer has to provide an undertaking to the concerned Custom Authority at the time of the clearance. The original physical copy of the PSIC needs to be submitted to Customs within 60 days of the clearance.

MCA issues clarification on holding of annual general meeting (AGM) through Video Conferencing (VC) or other audiovisual means (OAVM)

The Government of Kerala exempts MSME units from payment of rent

The Government of Kerala has exempted all the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) units who have rented their units in the buildings or premises owned by the Government, Semi-Government, Public Sector Undertakings, and Local Self Governments from the payment of rent for three months from March 2020.
