The Central Motor Vehicles (Draft Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Every manufacturer or importer of M2, M3 and N2 vehicle category, except Tippers, with gross vehicle weight between three and a half tonnes (3.5 T) and twelve tonnes (12.0 T), manufactured or imported for sale in India, shall, on and from the 1st day of April, 2023, be tested for Constant Speed Fuel Consumption standard and comply with the Fuel consumption target, as notified under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.

Inland Vessels (Registration and other technical issues) Rules 2022.
Every certificate of registration issued in respect of a mechanically propelled vessel under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958, shall be valid and effective as a certificate of registration issued under the Act and the relevant provisions of the Act shall apply in relation to such vessel as they apply to an inland mechanically propelled vessel registered under these regulations and the Act.
Inland Vessels (Fire Fighting Appliances) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that any particular piece of equipment or machinery that the inland vessels shall be provided with or carried onboard shall be in accordance with a national or international standard such as the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) or the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Inland Vessels (Survey and Certification) Rules 2022
Issuance of certificate of survey shall be in Form No. 1 appended to the rules and the relevant details shall be
furnished in Form No. 7 appended to the rules. The certificate of survey shall specify that the inland vessel is fit for a particular Zone of operation.
