Central Motor Vehicles (Twelfth Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that the vehicles manufactured on and after the 1st day of April 2016 shall comply with Bharat Stage-IV emission norms for two and three wheeler. CNG vehicles or kit components, including their installation, shall conform to the safety checks enlisted in the amendment.
The Passenger Name Record Information Regulations, 2022.
In the event of technical failure, passenger name record information shall be transferred by any other appropriate means, as may be directed by the National Customs Targeting Centre-Passenger, ensuring an appropriate level of information security. Every aircraft operator shall transfer passenger name record information not later than twenty four hours before the departure time; or at the departure time – wheels off.
The Central Motor Vehicles (Eleventh Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Every vehicle of categories N2 and N3, manufactured on and after the 1st Day of September, 2022, in the case of new models, and 1st day of January, 2023, in the case of existing models, carrying dangerous or hazardous goods, shall be fitted with a vehicle tracking system device as per AIS 140
Private players can use drones for delivery purposes in accordance with Drone Rules, 2021.
Drones are required to have the necessary type certification issued by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). No type certification is however required in case of nano drones (up to 250 gram all-up weight) and model drones made for research and recreation purpose.

BNCAP is applicable on Type Approved motor vehicles of category M1 [motor vehicles used for the carriage of passengers, comprising not more than eight seats, in addition to driver’s seat] with gross vehicle weight less than 3.5 Tonnes, manufactured or imported in the country, in accordance with the Automotive Industry Standard (AIS)-197. The standard is aligned with global benchmarks: it is beyond minimum regulatory requirements.
