The Central Motor Vehicles (Seventeenth Amendment) Rules, 2022.

The amendment is brought under rule 175 which deals with Registration Procedure for Automated Testing Station in which under sub-rule 3A, the Central Government shall set up an electronic portal for Single Window Clearance on which the applicant will apply and upload documents and required fee for registration.

Draft amendment to Tamil Nadu Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989

The draft amendment will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of seven days from the date of publication of this Notification. Objection or suggestion, if any, should be addressed in duplicate to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Chennai-9.

The amber light, if displayed by any direction indicator or as top light used on vehicle for operating within the premises such as airports, ports, mines and project sites, without going outside the said premises on to public roads or as top light used on a vehicle specifically designated for the purpose of patrolling of National Highways.

Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022

The amendment provides that Vehicles of category M1, manufactured after 01st October, 2023, shall be fitted with two side/side torso air bags, one each for the persons occupying front row outboard seating positions and two side curtain/tube air bags, one each for the persons occupying outboard seating positions and the requirement for such airbags shall be verified with compliance to AIS-099, as amended from time to time.
