Karnataka Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Act, 2023
The proposed amendment authorizes the Registrar to create a common cadre of employees for certain classes of co-operative societies, if deemed necessary in the interest of the co-operative movement. This means that one or more federal societies, to which the concerned class of co-operative societies is affiliated, will be authorized to handle various aspects including appointment, transfer, and disciplinary actions. Where such federal society is so authorized by the Registrar, the affiliated co-operative societies shall not have powers to deal with such categories of employees except to the extent the regulations may permit.
Scheme for critical care and support for accessing justice to rape gang rape survivors and minor girls who get pregnant
The scheme aims at providing shelter, food & daily needs, safe transportation for attending court hearings and legal aid to the minor girls who have been abandoned by the family due to forced pregnancy, either due to rape/ gang rape or due to any other reason, and have no other means to support themselves.

Vigyan Vidushi 2023 to Promote Gender Balance in Physics
The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), in collaboration with the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), has initiated the Vigyan Vidushi – 2023 program to address the gender imbalance in the field of Physics at the doctoral level. The program brings together 40 women students from various institutes across India who have recently completed their first year of MSc in Physics.

The Govt of Kerala has issued a notice permitting the renewal of Aadhaar Cards for free until 14th June, 2023. Only individuals whose mobile numbers are linked with Aadhaar can use the online system.
