The Goa Provision of Water Supply (Draft Amendment) Act, 2022.

Whoever contravenes any provision of this Act or of any rules or orders made thereunder, shall, on conviction by a Judicial Magistrate be sentenced to pay a fine of, rupees ten thousand, if the conviction is relating to the user of piped water for domestic purpose, and rupees fifty thousand, if the conviction is relating to the user of piped water for commercial or industrial purpose.

DM North Goa directs establishments to be closed and ban gathering within 200 mts from polling station.

All Restaurants, Bars, Tea shops, Pan shops, Eateries and other Food shops/joints (Dhabas, Gaddas) etc., situated in Rural areas of Village Panchayat jurisdiction within 200 mtrs of the polling stationand Counting Centres of respective Talukas in North Goa District shall remain closed at aforesaid date and time and also ban any gathering or crowd comprising of more than 5 persons within 200 meters of any polling stations of respective Talukas in North Goa District.

The Goa Municipalities (Draft Amendment) Act, 2022.

The amendment under section 10 devolves the powers of delimitation and reservation to the State Election Commission in order to conduct the Municipal election in a free, fair and transparent manner and the amendment seeks to omit sections 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, and 136 of Goa Municipalities Act, 1968 which are related to octroi and toll in view of the enactment of the Goa Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017.

Modification of Master Plan for Delhi-2021

Ministry of Women and Child Development notifies schemes for welfare of women.

The government of India launched the Stand Up India scheme to promote entrepreneurship amongst women, SC and ST categories, i.e., those sections of the population understood to be facing significant hurdles due to lack of advice/ mentorship as well as inadequate and delayed credit. The Scheme facilitates bank loans between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 1 crore to at least one scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe borrower and at least one woman borrower per bank branch of Scheduled Commercial Banks for setting up Greenfield enterprises in trading, manufacturing and services sector.

Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has notified a new draft on National Youth Policy.

The policy envisions an education system in sync with National Education Policy, 2020 that imparts career opportunities and life skills to all young people. It ensures that the youth have access to sustainable livelihood opportunities that encourages them to stay within and revive the rural economy, generate employment via micro-region-specific strategies, foster entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, and support the informal and emerging gig economy.
