UGC directs Autonomous Bodies, PSUs and Higher Educational Institutions to hold special drive on Sexual Harassment
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has stated that the Ministry of Education has decided that a special drive be conducted in all Autonomous Bodies (ABs)/ Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs)/ Higher Educational Institutions. The drive must include a series of activities that must be intimated to the gender sensitization division of UGC by December 11, 2022. The institutional Internal Complaints Committee should also conduct a special drive to review the pending cases and take appropriate action before 9th December, 2022.
UGC Requests Higher Educational Institutions to Host Meditation and Mental Health Sessions
The Ministry of Culture on 24 November 2022 has collaborated with the Art of Living foundation and launched a campaign “Har Ghar Dhyan” to conduct one hour introductory sessions on meditation and mental health. The sessions will be conducted by trained faculty from the Art of Living. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has requested higher educational institutions and their affiliated colleges/ institutions to host these introductory sessions on meditation and mental health.

The Aadhaar (Enrolment and Update) (Tenth Amendment) Regulations, 2022.
Aadhaar number holders may, on completion of every 10 years from the date of enrolment for Aadhaar, update their supporting documents in Aadhaar, at least once, by submitting Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA) documents as specified under Aadhaar Enrolment and Update Regulation 10 hereinabove, so as to ensure continued accuracy of their information in the Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR), in such manner as may be specified by the Authority from time to time.
DigiLocker users can now digitally store health records and link them with Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA).
DigiLocker had earlier completed level 1 integration with Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) wherein the platform had added ABHA or Ayushman Bharat Health Account creation facility for its 13 crore users. The latest integration will now enable users to utilize DigiLocker as a Personal Health Records (PHR) app.

The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) is boarded on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) – a one stop platform for scholarship schemes given to students. NMMSS scholarships are disbursed directly into the bank accounts of selected students by electronic transfer through Public Financial Management System (PFMS) following DBT mode. This is a 100% centrally sponsored scheme.
