BIS publishes Three Indian Standards in the area of Electronics
The Bureau of Indian Standards has published three significant Indian Standards in the area of Electronics. The Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that an applicant shall not be liable to pay application fee for registration of warehouses storing
only agricultural goods, for a period of one year from the commencement of the Warehousing (Development and
Regulation) Registration of Warehouses (Second Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Ministry of Textile extends the validity of order issued under the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packaging Commodities) Act 1987.
As per the earlier order, the ministry directed the commodities such as food grains and sugar to be packed in jute packaging material for supply or distribution. Initially ten per cent. of the indents for foodgrains would be placed through reverse auction on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.

The Insecticides (Amendment) Rules, 2021
A person who applies for the grant of license to sell, stock or exhibit for sale or distribute insecticides commonly used for household purpose only and registered as such shall be deemed to have granted a license if the licensing officer did not grant him license after expiry of a period of ninety days from the date of submission of his application.

The Drone Rules, 2021
No person shall operate an unmanned aircraft system in India unless such unmanned aircraft system conforms to a type certificate or is exempted from the requirement of a type certificate. Any person, who intends to obtain a type certificate, shall make an application in Form D-1 on the digital sky platform.
