Delhi Government issues Holiday List for 2024 for Government Offices

The Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has issued a notification declaring the list of holidays for all government offices in 2024. The government has also listed restricted holidays in 2024. It states that an employee is entitled to avail himself/herself any of two holidays of the restricted holidays as additional holidays.

Kerala Govt. issues Draft Notification for Allotment for Symbols to Political Parties

The Government of Kerala under State Election Commission has issued a draft notification on 13th October, 2023, allotting symbols to political parties other than national parties and state parties to contest local bodies in the state. State Election Commissioner has invited objections regarding which can be submitted in writing to the Commission Secretary till October 30, 2023.

Welding Rods and Electrodes (Quality Control) Order, 2023

The order mandates the use of Standard Marks on specified goods or articles and conforms to the corresponding Indian Standards. They shall also bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), as per the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.

BIS withdraws 24 Indian Standards

These Indian Standards range from a period from 1971 to 1998. Pertinently, all the 24 Indian Standards stand withdrawn from 29th May, 2023.
