Holidays enumerated in schedule 1 shall shall be observed as Public Holidays in all public offices under the Chandigarh Administration during the calendar year 2024. Each employee will also be permitted to avail himself/herself any of 2 holidays to be chosen by him/her out of the restricted holidays enumerated during the calendar year 2024.

The government, in its latest initiative, has allocated 101.5 LMT (Lakh Metric Tonnes) of wheat for offloading under the Open Market Sales Scheme (Domestic). The reserve price for both FAQ wheat and URS wheat has been set at Rs. 2150/Qtl and Rs. 2125/Qtl, respectively. Since the commencement of the offloading on June 28, 2023, a total of 25 e-auctions have been conducted, resulting in the sale of 48.12 LMT of wheat in the open market.

Governor declares the festivals, national festivals and birth dates of great men as public holidays in the entire Uttar Pradesh. Using the powers given to the State Government by the Government of India dated June 08,1957, it is also clarified that these public holidays will be considered as public holidays as specified.
