Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland Issue List of Holidays

The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to declare that the holidays as specified
in the Annexure- will be observed in all the offices and institutions under Government of Arunachal
Pradesh during the year 2024. The Deputy Commissioners in respect of their respective districts except the Deputy Commissioner, Capital Complex, Itanagar, are authorized to declare 2 (two) days as Local Holiday out of the festivals enlisted in Annexure-lll. As regards Capital Complex, Local Holiday will be observed on 26/02/2024 on account of Nyokum festival.

Guidelines on Management of Pyro-metallurgical Slags

The guidelines also outline specific areas where iron and steel slags can be used, such as cement production, aggregate in cement-concrete, and construction of roads and railways. Iron and Steel plants intending to use slag for other purposes are required to submit proposals to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) through the respective State Pollution Control Boards (SPCB) or Pollution Control Committees (PCC).

Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs Approves Minimum Support Prices for Copra in 2024 Season

The approved MSPs for the 2024 season represent an increase of Rs.300 per quintal for milling copra and Rs.250 per quintal for ball copra compared to the previous season. This increased MSP not only ensures better returns for coconut growers but also serves as an incentive for farmers to expand copra production to meet the rising demand for coconut products, both domestically and internationally.

Central Government Opens Window for Ethanol Production Boost

The Central Government has specified that applicants must secure loan disbursal from eligible financial institutions within one year or by June 30, 2024, whichever is later, from the date of in-principle approval by the Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD). Additionally, the project must be completed within two years from the date of the disbursement of the first installment of the loan.
