Punjab cabinet’s nod to clinical establishment ordinance

The Punjab Clinical Establishment (Registration and Regulation) Ordinance 2020 will provide for registration and regulation of clinical establishments in a professional manner to ensure compliance of clinical standards and protocols and transparency in the functioning of these establishments for fair and proper delivery of health services.

Government of Odisha makes epidemic Act more stringent to combat covid-19.

As per the Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020, applicable to Odisha, anybody who disobeys any regulation or order made under the principal Act is liable for imprisonment up to two years or with fine up to Rs 10,000 or with both and every offence under this act shall be cognizable and bailable.

Government of Odisha amends The Odisha COVID-19 regulation 2020.

The State Government of Odisha Vide its notification dated 9th April 2020 has amended the Odisha COVID-19 Regulations, 2020 by making it mandatory for citizens to cover their mouth & nose with any form of masks while going outside. The use of mask by all persons shall be mandatory with effect from 7 am of 9th April 2020.

Government of Odisha extends COVID-19 lockdown till 30th April

The Revenue and disaster management department of Odisha in its order dated 9th April 2020 has extended the lockdown in the state till 30th April to contain the spread of COVID-19. However, Activities related to agriculture, animal husbandry and services by health department, police, home guards, etc will be facilitated during the lockdown period, strictly following social distancing norms.

Families of healthcare professionals to get compensation of Rs.1 crore

The Government of Delhi vide its notification dated 7th April 2020 has decided to provide Rs. 1 crore compensation to the families of doctors, nurses, sweepers and other staff whether temporary or permanent in both public and private sectors who lose their lives while engaged in “serving” COVID-19 people.
