Delhi Government issues sop for hospitals to report COVID-19 deaths
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority in its order dated 10th May 2020 has issued a new Standard Operating Procedure, under which all Covid-19 hospitals and other facilities will e-mail a ‘death report’ to the government by 5 pm every day. The government shall constitute a Death Audit Committee to monitor the mortality.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular dated 11.05.2020 to direct states to ensure smooth functioning of private clinics and nursing homes. It has been reported that in many areas the private clinics and nursing homes are not allowed to function.
MOHFW revises discharge policy of Covid 19 cases based on symptom or time based strategy

CDSCO Extends the Validity of WHO GMP/ Certificates Of Pharmaceutical Products
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation vide its notification dated 1st May 2020 has extended validity of World Health Organization good manufacturing practices (WHO GMP) certificate of pharmaceutical product (CoPP) expiring from March to August 2020 by six months.

Ministry of Home Affairs extends the lockdown period for two weeks starting from 4th May 2020
The Ministry of Home Affairs on 1st May, 2020 has extended the lock down period for two weeks with effect from 4th May 2020, and issued new guidelines to regulate different activities in this period, based on the risk profiling of the districts in the country into Red (hotspot), Orange, and Green zones.
Guidelines on rational use of Personal Protective Equipment in Non-COVID hospitals

Government of India enacts The Epidemic Diseases (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 due to COVID 19
The Ordinance states that any person who harms any healthcare service personnel/property while on duty may suffer imprisonment or fine or both. In case of damage to property compensation payable shall be twice amount of fair market value. The Ordinance is applicable all over India.
CDCSO allows industrial manufacturers to produce oxygen for medical use
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation vide its notification dated 7th April 2020 has decided to grant speedy permission to manufacturers of industrial oxygen to manufacture oxygen for medical use in the situation of COVID-19 pandemic.

Advisory directs everyone to neither buy nor sell HCQ without prescription. Those found indulging in such activity will be liable for action under Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
