HC of Gujarat directs state government to make rules under the Clinical Establishment (Registration and regulation) Act

Odisha government publishes eligibility Criteria for Plasma Donors
The Health Department of Government of Odisha has published an eligibility criteria for Covid survivors to donate Plasma for treatment of Covid. The consent form to be mandatorily signed by donors is also provided.
Health Ministry issues guidelines for the management of co-infection of COVID-19 with other seasonal epidemic prone diseases.
The Health Ministry has listed approaches to diagnose suspected co-infection which include, a high index of suspicion for epidemic prone diseases existing in specific regions during monsoon and post-monsoon seasons. Bacterial co-infections must also be suspected in moderate or severe cases of COVID-19 not responding to treatment.

The Ministry of AYUSH proposes Draft Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Rules, 2020
The draft amendment seeks to remove ‘sterilised surgical ligature and sterilised surgical suture’ from being under the purview of the Central Drugs Laboratory or the Central Research Institute, Kasauli. The draft amendment also seeks to constitute a Scientific Advisory Board for the Pharmacopoiea Commission of Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy. Further, they inter alia revise the qualifications of the Government Analysts and Inspectors as well as the fees prescribed for various tests and analysis.
