Patient Information System to be set up in ESIC hospitals
The ESIC has directed setting up of Patient Information System for attendants at ESIC hospitals. A control room is to be immediately set up with a helpline to contact a medical personal on a 24/7 basis.
Karnataka government issues further guidelines for Medical triage and follow-up of Covid-19 positive persons
The person who has tested positive for COVID-19 shall undergo triaging for a decision about placing him/her under home isolation, admission to a CCC or DCHC or DCH. The triaging can be done by telephonic mode or physical method.
Government of Karnataka caps the price of CT-scan, X-Ray in private medical establishments.
The Government has decided to cap the price of CT-scan and digital X-Ray in private hospitals and labs at Rs 1,500 for patients having BPL Card and Rs. 2, 500 for other patients.
Government of Karnataka issues guidelines for admission, discharge and transfer of Covid-19 patients.
The patients who are admitted in private hospitals under SAST (Govt. referred patients) shall be transferred to a stepdown facility attached to the private hospital at their own cost or to a Govt CCC as deemed fit, following their recovery and clinically stable condition, based on the assessment and advise of treating physician.
Government of Karnataka issues Guidelines for Medical Oxygen Management in the state.
As per the guidelines, each district shall set up a District Oxygen Cell immediately which shall function 24×7 and manned by adequate staff/operator.
Government of Tamil Nadu shall bear the cost of COVID-19 treatment for patients in private hospitals.
The government has decided to bear people’s medical expenses under the state Insurance scheme and the patients undergoing treatment in Private hospitals for all kind of covid-19 related treatment shall claim their expenses under this insurance scheme.
CDSCO issues Guidance on import of vaccine by private sector.
The importer / authorized agent of the manufacturer of the vaccine shall obtain the New Drug Permission under the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019 and Import registration/license from CDSCO, if the vaccine is not yet approved/ licensed in India.
Invitation for further applications under the production linked incentive scheme
Further applications under the production linked incentive scheme for promoting domestic manufacturing of Medical Devices shall be submitted by eligible participants by 28 July, 2021 for the leftover slots for eligible products like devices for cancer care, Radiotherapy, Radiology and imaging, nuclear imaging, etc.
