The National Cancer Grid (NCG) is an initiative of the Government of India through the Department of Atomic Energy and its grant-in-aid institution, the Tata Memorial Centre, to create a network of cancer centres, research institutes, patient groups and charitable institutions across India with the objective of developing uniform standards of patient care for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer.
NMC directs medical colleges to cooperate with the assessors from Medical Assessment and Rating Board
Failure to cooperate with the assessors from Medical Assessment and Rating Board will invite penalty including non-processing of applications of medical institutions in default for the entire academic year.

The Drugs (Seventh Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Where an application under this rule is for the manufacture of drug formulations falling under the purview of new drug under rule 80 of the New Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019 or rule 122B, the licence to manufacture for sale or distribution of the drugs shall be granted after approval of the drug as new drug.
NMC recommendations to revise the syllabus of forensic medicine to reflect the changes in legal position with regard to homosexuality and adultery
The recommendation seeks to replace the forensic medicine competencies regarding unnatural offences with competencies regarding informed consent and history of gender and sexual orientation.
NMC requests information for implementation of AEBAS and HMS
In order to implement the AEBAS and HMS, all medical colleges are directed to submit the information latest by 5 pm on 22/08/2022 as asked in the circular.
NHA issues hardware guidelines for healthcare institutions at State/ UT level to facilitate effective implementation of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
The guidelines describe the required infrastructure for efficient implementation of the program with a particular focus on quality patient care and adoption of digital initiatives under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). NMC clarification regarding recognition of post graduate medical courses
Considering this, recognition of post graduate courses is extended for one more year that is till admission of 2022 batch.
NMC issues FAQ on queries by Foreign Medical Students from Ukraine and China
It is clarified in the FAQ that Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021 shall be applicable to Foreign Medical Students whose classes commenced after publication of Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations 2021 i.e 18 November, 2021.
