CDSCO and State Drugs Control Administration commence joint inspection of Drug Manufacturing Units

The Joint Inspections are being conducted all over the country as per the Standard Operating Procedures. A committee of two Joint Drugs Controllers has been constituted at CDSCO (HQ) to monitor the process of inspection, reporting & subsequent action so as to ensure compliance to the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules thereunder. The aim is to ensure high standards of quality compliance with respect to drugs manufactured in the country.

Incentives of up to Rs. 4 crores to hospitals, labs and digital health solution providers

The National Health Authority (NHA) has announced a Digital Health Incentive Scheme (DHIS) for the stakeholders of the digital health ecosystem. The incentives under this scheme would be provided to hospitals and diagnostic labs and also to the providers of digital health solutions such as Hospital/ Health Management Information System (HMIS) and Laboratory Management Information System (LMIS).

NMC Invites Comments on the proposed draft for inclusion of Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) in Medical Colleges

The proposed amendment seeks to compulsorily implement an Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) of National Information Centre (NIC). It will be applicable to faculties, tutors, demonstrators and senior residents. The propsed amendment also states that in the absence of AEBAS, renewals, recognition or continuation thereof, increase in seats, establishment of new medical colleges or new PG course will not be permitted.
