Tamil Nadu Government restricts serving liquor in private events
Now, vide notification dated 24.04.2023) has revoked this permission clarifying that special license would be granted only for international/ national summits, events, conferences, celebrations and festivals in convention centers and conference halls on commercial premises and for international sports events in stadiums.

The circular advises manufacturers/ importers to apply for grant of manufacturing/ import licences through the online system for medical devices. This application should be accompanied by requisite documents and fees as per Medical Device Rules, 2017 (MDR, 2017).
Unified Portal of the Central Bureau of Narcotics
The Central Bureau of Narcotics launched the unified portal as one step solution for user industry to facilitate the licensing and ExIM authorizations issued by the Bureau. The unified portal will instill the efficiency, transparency and accountability in department users with twin objective to cater the need of pharma and chemical industry and boosting economy. It will also ensure availability of the “essential narcotic drugs” and medicines to the patients & their attendant families.

CDSCO updates its approved FDC List
It may be recalled that on 5th February, 2023, the CDSCO had issued a list of FDCs for obtaining manufacturing licenses directly from the State Licensing Authorities. The CDSCO has observed certain typographical errors in that list. Hence, the CDSCO has issued an updated list of FDCs.
