Ministry of AYUSH issues a Call for Papers on Special Issue of JDRAS on “Millets- The Nutri-cereals”

To commemorate the International Year of Millets and identify potential research gaps and future avenues, Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) will be publishing a special issue of JDRAS on “Millets: The Nutri-cereals.” The special issue is scheduled for release on Ayurveda Day 2023. The Journal invites research papers, reviews, short communications, perspectives, book reviews, and systematic reviews.

BIS withdraws 24 Indian Standards

These Indian Standards range from a period from 1971 to 1998. Pertinently, all the 24 Indian Standards stand withdrawn from 29th May, 2023.

Medical Devices (Amendment) Rules, 2023

These Rules aim to enhance the regulatory framework governing medical devices in the country. They provide for the establishment and designation of State Medical Devices Testing Laboratories, further empowering the testing and evaluation of medical devices.

New BIS Standard Enhances Surgical Implants: IS 18079:2023

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has introduced a new standard, IS 18079:2023, focusing on metal bone plates for surgery. This standard replaces existing ones, emphasizing compatibility with screws featuring conical under-surfaces. It enhances safety, simplifies implant selection, and sets a benchmark for the industry, benefiting surgeons, manufacturers, and patients.
