Ministry of AYUSH issues a Call for Papers on Special Issue of JDRAS on “Millets- The Nutri-cereals”
To commemorate the International Year of Millets and identify potential research gaps and future avenues, Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) will be publishing a special issue of JDRAS on “Millets: The Nutri-cereals.” The special issue is scheduled for release on Ayurveda Day 2023. The Journal invites research papers, reviews, short communications, perspectives, book reviews, and systematic reviews.
Govt of Odisha appoints 1196 Medical Officers in Odisha Medical & Health Services Cadre
The newly appointed Medical Officers will serve a probationary period of two years, starting from their date of joining the post. BIS withdraws 24 Indian Standards
These Indian Standards range from a period from 1971 to 1998. Pertinently, all the 24 Indian Standards stand withdrawn from 29th May, 2023.
Medical Devices (Amendment) Rules, 2023
These Rules aim to enhance the regulatory framework governing medical devices in the country. They provide for the establishment and designation of State Medical Devices Testing Laboratories, further empowering the testing and evaluation of medical devices.

Ministry of Minority Affairs supports Development of Unani Medicine System
Ministry of Minority Affairs has approved a grant of Rs. 45.34 Crores under Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), a centrally sponsored scheme (CSS). This will support the upgradation of Unani Medicine facilities at Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow, Silchar and Bengaluru.
National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions 5th (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2023
It is clarified that all the State Governments/Union Territories shall, as soon as may be but within two year and six months from the date of commencement of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021, constitute State Allied and Healthcare Councils.
