Draft proposal for Amendment of Central Health Services Rules, 2014 and Central Health Services (Amendment) Rules, 2019

Before finalizing the Recruitment Rules in consultation with DoPT and UPSC, comments, if any, are invited from all stakeholders in the matter within a period of thirty days from the date of this OM uploading the said draft rules on the website of this Ministry. The objects/ suggestions received from the stakeholders within the specified period shall be examined by the department.

ESIC standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for home delivery of drugs

ESIC Hospitals are introducing a standardized set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for home delivery of drugs. This SOP provides operational guidance for ESIC Hospitals and serves as a framework for beneficiaries and stakeholders. Senior citizens (above 60 years) with chronic illnesses, entitled for ESIC treatment, receiving consultations from the hospital, and prescribed medicines for more than 30 days are eligible for home delivery.

Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy Inaugurated in Assam

The Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy will offer clinical training facilities, focusing on areas such as cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management, autoimmune diseases, and non-communicable disease (NCD) risk reduction. The hospital’s services will encompass inpatient, outpatient, and day care facilities, offering a range of treatments including naturopathy diet and nutrition, yoga therapy, massage & manipulative therapies, acupressure, acupuncture, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy.

NMC Invites Public Opinions On Live Surgery Broadcasts

In the matter of Rahil Chaudhary and ors. v/s Union of India & ors., Mr. Chaudhary, the Petitioner, has contended that private hospitals are commercially using patients for ulterior motives through these broadcasts in conferences. The NMC has invited all stakeholders and public at large to provide their feedback on these matters. The last date for providing this feedback is February 2, 2024.
