UGC provides Covid Appropriate Behaviour Guidance for HEIs
Higher Educational Institutions may take appropriate decision with regard to opening of campuses conducting classes and examinations in online/online/blended mode in accordance with the guidelines-issued by the UGC.

UGC directs universities to frame rules for maternity leave and attendance relaxations.
The UGC has made a provision in the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of MPhil and PhD) Regulations, 2016, stating that “the women candidate may be provided maternity leave or childcare leave once in the entire duration of MPhil and PhD for up to 240 days.
