UGC invites application for National Fellowship for persons with disabilities for the year 2021-2022.
Under this scheme, fellowship is given to students with disabilities who are covered under ‘The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 for pursuing research leading to award of M.Phil./Ph.D.

The UGC on 3rd March, 2022 with the approval of the Central Government has notified the fourth amendment in the UGC Notification on Specification of Degrees.
UGC invites feedback/comments from public on revised draft National Curricular Framework and Guidelines for “Fostering Social Responsibility & Community Engagement in Higher Education Institutions in India 2.0.
The framework has been revised to include key recommendations of NEP (National education policy) 2020. The experiences of the Covid pandemic and responses by students, faculty and staff of HEIs during the same have been incorporated in this revision.

The UGC has developed these Life Skills Facilitators’ Guidelines to enable facilitators to make these courses interesting and interactive that will inculcate the skills among learners at the higher education level.
PCI clarification regarding implementation of Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examinations Regulations, 2022
The state governments are directed by Pharmacy Council of India to continue to follow the existing procedure issued under Pharmacy Act, 1948 to register the students who obtained Diploma in Pharmacy course.

Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination Regulations, 2022
No person shall be registered as a Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination candidate unless he has passed
Diploma in Pharmacy course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of
the Pharmacy Act, 1948. He shall be required to make an application in a prescribed form together with all relevant documents showing the proof of his passing the approved examination and the examination fee as may be prescribed by the PCI.
UGC invites suggestions on draft amendments to open and distance learning programmes regulation 2020.
These regulations lay down the minimum standards of instruction for the grant of degrees at the undergraduate and post graduate levels and grant of post graduate diploma, through Open and Distance Learning mode and Online mode and shall be in addition to and not in derogation of any other regulations, Notifications, Guidelines or Instructions issued by the Commission.

Draft Educational Institutions (Classification and Registration) (Amendment) Rules, 2022
The amendment provides that Registration and processing fee once paid shall be applicable for next three years. In case, if the applicant fails to fulfil all the conditions within stipulated time of three years, Registration and processing fee once paid shall not be refunded for any reason
