The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has notified the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Amendment) Rules, 2024. The amendments integrate the Accessibility Code for Educational Institutions into the existing Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) Rules, 2017. This inclusion establishes a clear set of accessibility standards that educational institutions must adhere to. These standards aim to ensure inclusive learning environments for students with disabilities.
