UGC urges universities to fix admission deadlines post CBSE 12th results.
The CBSE conducted Board Examination in two terms i.e term-l and term-ll to nullify the impact of COVID. The performance of term-l has already been communicated to the schools. The evaluation of term-II is going on and process of result preparation will! Start. The final result will be declared by combining the weightage based on the performance of both the terms. The entire process will take about a month period for the declaration of the result.
UGC has Issued notification on Digital Skilling initiatives.
The All India Council of Technical Education, Ministry of Education (GoI) has launched a digital skilling initiatives (https://internship.aicte-india.org) in emerging and future technologies for skilling, reskilling, upskilling, internship, apprenticeship and employment of one crore students.
UGC issues Guidelines on Accessibility and Standards for Higher Education Institutions and Universities.
According to the guidelines, Higher education institutions (HEIs) need to create a common learning environment that is flexible and accessible for all the students to learn together including those from varied backgrounds and diverse abilities.
PCI opens portal to process applications for new institutions.
The pre-requisite statutory documents, incldues consent of affiliation of examining authority, No Objection Certificate of the State Government, etc., shall clearly indicate that it is for the 2022-23 academic session. The submission of these pre-requisite statutory documents is a mandatory requirement.
MSDE launches DBT scheme to extend direct monetary support to apprentices.
Earlier companies used to pay apprentices the entire amount and then seek reimbursement from the government. With the launch of the DBT scheme, the government will directly transfer its contribution to bank accounts of apprentices through National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), 25% of the stipend payable up to Rs. 1500/- per month.
AICTE issues circular on implementation of Credit Framework for the movement from Professional/Vocational Education to Engineering & Technology.
Through this circular, the unified credit level (UCF) for exiting/entry qualification at different level has been notified. At each entry, Institution/University has to identify the educational gaps/skill gaps and suitable bridge course may be offered.
UGC notifies the list of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) offered by National Coordinators on SWAYAM platform for July Semester 2022.
The SWAYAM Platform (www.swavam.gov.in) has been set up with the objective to ensure that every student in the country has access to the best quality of higher education at an affordable cost.
PCI directs all pharmacy institutions to submit consent form and NOC for Pharmacy courses along with online SIF
All pharmacy institutions to download consent of affiliation of examining authority for B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses for the academic session 2022-2023 and to submit the same along with online SIF.
NMC issues public notice on online filing of information related to admission made in medical college for PG super speciality course.
The portal will also be open for board specialty courses for those colleges which could not fill up the admission data previously due to technical problem or any other reason.
AICTE directs institutions to develop Industry-led course modules to increase the employability of students.
AICTE has directed all the AICTE-approved institutions to develop and promote of industry-oriented course modules to increase the employability of students. The Council has also requested the institutions to interact with leading industries for development and promotion of industry oriented course modules, and credits may be given to student’s the completing such course modules.
