UGC clarifies that degrees awarded through distance mode is equivalent to degrees awarded through conventional mode
The undergraduate and post graduate degrees and post graduate diplomas awarded through open and distance mode by institutions of higher educations recognized by UGC shall therefore be treated in par with undergraduate and post graduate degrees and post graduate diplomas awarded through conventional mode.

Cabinet approves a new centrally sponsored Scheme – PM SHRI Schools (PM ScHools for Rising India).

The Karnataka Educational institutions (Recruitment and Terms and Condition of Service of Employees in private aided Primary and Secondary Educational Institutions) (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
Under rule 3, based on the financial capacity of the State Government the salary of employees in respect of posts admitted into aid in recognised private educational institutions receiving aid from the State Government shall generally be the same as those applicable for the corresponding category of employees in government educational institutions as per orders issued by the State Government in respect of this category of employees from time to time

NMC allows academic mobility for Ukraine return students.
It is informed that the mobility program offered by Ukraine has been considered in the Commission in consultation with Ministry of External Affairs, wherein it was intimated that the academic mobility program is a temporary relocation to other universities in different countries globally. However, the degree will be awarded by the parent Ukrainian University.
PCI opens portal to process applications for new institutions.
The portal shall be open from 1st September to 7th September, for the new institutions to apply for approval to commence new pharmacy colleges. The institution will have to apply on the PCI portal along with pre-requisite statutory documents and these documents shall be in English language duly signed by the principal and legible.
PCI directs all institutions/colleges to upload grievances online as it cancels daily personal meetings.
