The NMC has observed that despite various reminders and requests, many medical colleges are yet to fully implement these IT initiatives. AII colleges are therefore, again directed to take necessary steps to fully implement Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) and connection of CCTVs feed to Command & Control Centre at National Medical Commission immediately in order to prevent adverse actions against them.
NMC notifies the Enrollment of Medical Colleges as Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR) Monitoring Centers under PvPI
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice directing all medical colleges/ hospitals under the NMC to get themselves enrolled with the with Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) as Adverse Drug Monitoring Centres (AMCs). This direction was issued on 25th January, 2023 and must be complied with at the earliest.

The National Medical Council (NMC) has issued Guidelines for Activation of Face Enabled Aadhar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) Machine as part of Implementation of AEBAS in Medical Colleges. The notification prescribes the process to be followed for smooth implementation of Aadhar Enabled Facial Attendance.
UGC advisory in connection with the G-20 University programme
All Institutions to undertake regular Swachchta Campaign in and around their respective campuses as part of the G-20 event. The activities have to be undertaken starting from the month of January 2023 up to September 2023.
DCI invites applications for Screening Test for Recognition of Foreign PG Dental Qualification
Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a public circular inviting applications for Screening Test for recognition of foreign PG dental qualification upon fulfilling prescribed conditions. The circular applies to persons who had previously applied to the DCI to appear in the Screening Test for recognition of their foreign PG dental qualification but failed or were absent in the examinations. The circular states that if such persons are willing to reappear in the Screening Test, they may apply to DCI positively by 27th January, 2023.
UGC publicises its UGC SWAYAM Courses for January 2023 Semester
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a notification regarding UGC SWAYAM Courses for January 2023 Semester. These include a total of four Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). These will be offered on the SWAYAM Platform from January 2023.
New India Literacy Programme
The students can take on to teach 3-4 non-literates of 15 years and above per year voluntarily toward this end and appropriate credits in the Credit Framework for this activity may be considered.
UGC issues Guidelines for Optimum Utilisation of the Resources Available in Central Universities/ Higher Educational Institutions
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a letter to the Vice-Chancellors of all Universities drawing their attention to the publication of its “Guidelines for Optimum Utilisation of the Resources Available in Central Universities/ Higher Educational Institutions”. The UGC states that it has supported Central Universities and Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) in setting up of infrastructural facilities. It suggests that these infrastructures should be shared with other HEIs for optimum usage of resources and hence has published guidelines to implement their utilisation.

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a Circular requiring all Dental Colleges to upload the details of students admitted in MDS / PG Diploma Course(s) at Dental Colleges for the academic session 2022-2023. The details of the students must be uploaded on the DCI website on or before 14th January, 2023 (12.00 midnight).

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has issued a Circular requiring all Dental Colleges to furnish the complete details of students admitted during Special Stray Vacancy Round for MDS Seats-2022 for the academic session 2022-2023. The present Circular emphasises that the complete details of every student admitted in MDS Courses of all the dental colleges during the Special Stray Vacancy Round must be furnished to the DCI on or before 14th January, 2023 (12:00 midnight).
