MoHFW clarifies on Medical Colleges under PPP Model

The regulations of National Medical Commission (NMC) allow establishment of a medical college under Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The appropriate Government may allow the utilization of the facilities of a hospital owned and managed by it for establishing a Medical College by a person/agency /trust/society /company by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding for this purpose.

AICTE clarifies on Closure of NEEM Scheme

The AICTE has clarified that no fresh admission will be carried out after the closure of the scheme, i.e. w.e.f. 23rd December, 2022. However student enrolled on NEEM prior to 4th January, 2023 will continue to receive training and certification under the scheme till the completion of their training period.

NMC issues Circular on Transfer of AEBAS Attendance ID

The NMC urges the relevant stakeholders to strictly comply with the provisions relating to blocking and transfer AEBAS IDs and avoid undue delays in complying therewith. If any MC/ institute is found to be not transferring AEBAS IDs of employees/ faculty who have joined another MC/ institute by way of resignation or transfer, strict action will be taken against the erring institute.

PCI issues Circular on Pharma Anveshan: 2023

The PCI has declared the birth anniversary of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Shroff, i.e. 6th of March, as National Pharmacy Education Day. Through the commemoration, PCI seeks to recognise his contribution in establishing Pharmacy Education in India. Hence, PCI will be celebrating Prof M. L Shroff’s 121st Birth Anniversary, 6th March 2023 as Pharma Anveshan-2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
