Information on availability of Unisex Toilets for Divyangjan and Inventory of Buildings
All technical universities and AICTE approved institutions are requested to furnish information on availability of unisex toilets in their institutions and details on inventory in the google form titled ‘Unisex toilet for Divyangjan’. This information shall be furnished on or before 15th April, 2023.
PCI clarifies on the Appeal Process for New Institutions
The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has issued a clarification on the appeal process for new institutions whose applications were rejected. If the EC has rejected any application, the institution can prefer an appeal and submit compliance or representation.

NMC directs Medical Colleges to furnish Bank Guarantees on Structural Financial Messaging System Platform
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed that medical colleges shall furnish bank guarantees solely on Structural Financial Messaging System Platform (SFMS) Platform. Henceforth, ordinarily, a physical bank guarantee will not be accepted. Only in exceptional circumstances, will a bank guarantee not generated through SFMS Platform be accepted.
UGC notifies List of Category-I HEIs entitled to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL)
Category-I HEIs that were willing to offer programmes under ODL from Jan-Feb 2023 academic session had to submit information to UGC along with affidavits for ensuring compliance. Based on the information furnished, the UGC has notified the list of Category-I HEIs along with the programmes found in compliance with the said regulations.
PCI declares Approved Courses of Study and Examinations

MoHFW clarifies on Mental Health Services in Primary Health Centres
The press release lists the various wayst the Government is implementing the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) in the country. The District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) component of the NMHP has been sanctioned for implementation in 716 districts for which support is provided to States/UTs through the National Health Mission.
