CBME Guidelines Amendment Cannot be Applied Retrospectively

The NMC has clarified that changes introduced in the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) Guidelines by the September 1, 2023 amendment will apply only to future students rather than those who have already completed their education or training.

PCI extends deadline for completion of Approval and Appeal Process for Existing Institutions

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has extended the deadline for the completion of approval and appeal process for existing institutions. This notice was issued on 4th October, 2023. Therefore, the last date for completion of the approval process for existing institutions has now been fixed as 31st October, 2023. Furthermore, the last date for completion of the appeal process has now been fixed as 30th November, 2023.

Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education

These regulations, amongst other aspects, contemplate an annual disclosure report to be submitted by medical colleges and medical institutions to the UGMEB or the PGMEB, as the case may be. The Boards will then evaluate these reports to verify if the medical colleges or medical institutions satisfy the conditions or regulations issued by NMC from time to time.

Malaviya Mission-Teacher Training Programme

The programme aims at improving the quality of Education at all levels by infusing quality and excellence in our teachers and teaching. The Malaviya Mission Training Programme shall be taken into consideration for the fulfilment of the requirements as laid down in the Career Advancement Scheme of UCC.
