DCI Publishes Updated List of Defaulter Dental Colleges

The Dental Council of India (DCI) has published an updated list of defaulter dental colleges who have not conducted/uploaded Anti Ragging Orientation Program 2023-24 Report on DCI Anti Ragging Online Module. The list specifies a total of 118 defaulting dental colleges. The list also specifies the states to which the defaulting colleges belong.

Dental Colleges Directed to Apply for PG Course Renewal by April 30th

Dental institutions whose renewal for PG courses is pending are reminded to submit their renewal applications to the Dental Council of India (DCI) by April 30th, 2024. Such dental colleges shall pay the requisite fees and submit the necessary documents to facilitate timely processing of renewal applications.

Processing of Applications for UG MBBS Courses for Academic Year 2024-25 Underway

The applications are being assessed in accordance with the provisions outlined in the National Medical Commission (UGMEB) Notification on Undergraduate Minimum Standard Requirements-2023. MARB has informed that it has dispatched emails to each applicant, containing crucial information regarding their application status. Applicants are advised to retrieve this letter from their email inboxes and await further instructions from the board.

New National Dental Commission Rules, 2024 Introduced to Enhance Dental Education

One significant provision involves the nomination of members to the Dental Advisory Council in states or union territories lacking Government Dental Colleges. In such cases, individuals with post-graduate degrees in dental sciences, registration with the National or State Register, and at least fifteen years of experience in the field will be appointed to the council.

MARB Reviews PG Medical Course Applications

MARB has communicated on an additional online applications for new PG medical courses or augmentation of seats from medical institutions. Institutions are requested to acknowledge receipt and take necessary action within the stipulated timeline. MARB  has also issued communications to medical institutions/ colleges regarding the submission of deficient documents/ information.
