IIT Madras hosts technology-led National CSR Summit

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) hosted the IIT Madras National CSR Summit – “Building India 2047: Technology for a Brighter Future” on its premises today, February 17. The event, as detailed in a press release from the institute, centered around leveraging technology for positive social change. The flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) Summit brought together stalwarts from corporate India to address prevailing societal challenges and enable collaboration through scalable and sustainable technological solutions towards Viksit Bharat @2047.

DoT Technical Arm “TEC” conducts awareness program for startups/ companies in the telecom sector in Bengaluru

Department of Telecommunication’s Technical Arm “TEC” (Telecommunication Engineering Centre) has conducted an awareness program at ITI Complex, Begaluru on February 02, 2024 for startups/ companies in the telecommunication sector on mandatory testing and certification of telecom equipment (MTCTE), voluntary testing and certifications viz. Type Approvals, Interface approval, Certificate of approval, Technology approval and Lab designation by TEC, etc.

Establishments of Data Centers in Telangana

Chief Minister of Telangana met with the CEO of Iron Mountain, and the CEO of Web Werks, at the World Economic Forum. The meeting led to a major investment announcement, in which Web Werks would announce INR 5,200 crore to establish data centers in Telangana. Chief Minister of Telangana, along with Hon’ble Minister of ITE&C, Industries, and Legislative Affairs, and CEO of Iron Mountain, and the CEO of Web Werks, exchanged an MOU for data center investments amounting to a total of ₹5,200 Crores to be invested in Telangana over the next few years.

India Stack Solutions are a DPIs developed and implemented by India at population scale to provide access and delivery of public services. It aims to enhance connectivity, promote digital inclusion, and enable seamless access to public service. These are built on open technologies, are interoperable and are designed to harness industry and community participation which fosters innovative and inclusive solutions. However, each country has unique needs and challenges in building DPI, although the basic functionality is similar, allowing for global cooperation.
