In order to support and encourage ecosystem for Start-ups and MSMEs in Telecom and related ICT sector, Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC), the technical body under Department of Telecommunications (DOT) has incentivized DPIIT registered Start-ups and registered MSMEs for Testing & Certification of Telecom Products under Voluntary Certification Scheme of TEC by total exemption of testing & certification fees for their products.

Ministry of Electronic notifies Draft India Data Accessibility & Use Policy 2022.

The sale and use of wireless jammers are illegal. Therefore sale of such equipment by both online platforms and offline dealer for general consumption is viewed as an illegal activity and legal action will be initiated under existing acts and security guidelines.
DoT notifies guidelines for grant of unified license.
The Unified License shall be issued on non-exclusive basis, for a period of 10 years. However depending on technological development and experience gathered, this duration of license may be reviewed after 3-4 years.
Telecom Department revises policy for issue/renewal of NOC for sale/rent of International Roaming SIM Cards/ Global Calling Cards of Foreign Operators in India.
The revised policy mandates the NOC holders to make provision for providing information regarding customer care service, contact details, escalation matrix, itemised bills, information related to tariff plans, services offered, etc.
